OK looks nice and simple this month.

MS05-01 HTML Help issue - loads no problem, can't see any reason to wait to load it

MS05-02 Curser Format issue - loads no problem, looks a bit odd and a strange problem to find, but would still load it.

MS05-03 Index issue - loads no problem, most users won't have this enabled

Just spinning them up on the test box to prove them, but they look very good this month. Nothing too low level. Curser one is the one that I'd like to test. Indexing is a pain when it's working so not that worried

A bit rushed this month, but I will make them easier to understand. I'm also in the middle of doing real install guides for Zonelabs and AVG as it's becoming clear that these sites assume a level of knowledge that not everyone has.

Virus
Boot sector Virus
Macro Virus
Virus Hoax
Worm
Trojan
Data Miner
Tracking Cookie

I could go on But that is 8 threats against your PC for starters. To my mind the whole architecture of PC's is wrong for a home appliance. A system where my Mum might be expected to know these terms however well explained is just WRONG.

Good list there m8

I think it kind of proves the point though. Understanding all the crap that can be thrown at a PC is in of itself a full time profession.

A way has to be found the PC user, not to have to worry about it.

Well the first draft was too techie for work and I work in an IT company

What you see now is a third draft that I've thrown on the server until I can edit it properly.

What really gets me is that one of the reasons I got made redundant was that virus countermeasures is 'easy'

The reason I got a new job so quickly is because it isn't
