Download the yahoo or google toolbar which has pop up blocker on it.

Assuming it isn't what Jema says it is (and I don't understand that well enough to comment!) pop up stopper is excellent. Theres a free version from here that I use at work: https://www.panicware.com/

Are you using "Internet Explorer"? Get a decent Web Browser for free, go to https://www.firefox.org.uk Ban Pop-ups.

That version appears to include the Google bar as standard. If you'd prefer to have just plain FF then go here:

Or use the IE6 SP2 that has popup blocker and has had fewer patches this year than Firefox.
