Went carp fishing today but didn't catch any .
Nearly had a really good catch though ! I set up one of the rods with sweet corn and the bite indicator went off and I had quite a good run . I struck and got into a fish but it didn't seem like a carp .
I managed to get it up on the surface and quite close in before it let go . It was a 4 or 5lb eel. My sweetcorn had been taken by a small roach which had in turn been taken by what would have been my biggest eel ever. Needless to ay, I was a bit gutted. Nice to be out of the shop though !
I intend going back there for a night session in the next few weeks !
Dyslexia rules KO Mochyn !
For those who are interested I 've just got back having caught 7 smallish Carp and about 30 Rudd.
Is there anybody on site thats into fishing ?

I'm not really - unless it's fishing off a small boat on Skye, and catching Mackerel to eat for tea Glad you had a nice day though Bodger...

When I was a girl in SW Ireland we used to go out in boats quite often. Every time we dangled lines with about 10-20 hooks on over the side (very lazy!) and caught mainly Pollack with the occasional Mackerel.
Other than that, just Tiddlers in jam jars for me!
