Hi,
I would be interested in the beading thread and wire in fact anything to do with jewellery making as I am just starting out and want to get a few bits in to see what I like/don't like. I don't think your Hama beads are what I am thinking about though (just googled them as had no idea what they were! )
Let me know how much for this including postage?
Thanks!

no problem. I have some beads too if your interested - some glass and some wood. I make jewellery too and have been sorting out my stash. it becomes addictive

hama beads are meant for melting to make things like mobiles or keyrings. you put them on a peg boards and then partially melt one side with an iron and lift the item off. there pretty good but I found better uses for them if you continue to melt with the iron you can create a soild plastic item for keyrings etc. I also sew them together and have made loads of things that way including a childs bag you could also string them etc. https://www.hamabeads.co.uk/

would you like to see the beads too?

I melted one thing a lot further than you should and have a nice star shaped coaster on my desk. I'm going to get my son to make more.

Darn, pipped to the post by Percypony on the beading loom! But I'd be interested in the wire and seeing the beads too please.

BTW I'm going on a taster session at Mango beads in a couple of weeks. It looks very good.

Sorry to hijack your thread. I wondered if any of you would be kind enough to point me in the direction of online home-made jewellery/bead resources. Any sites which sell beads or gems (and wire), as well as sites which tell you how to make them.

I've been meaning to get into it for a while (especially wire work) but couldn't find any wire suppliers. I bought a kit of pliers for this purpose which got lost, but my OH found it again last week! Consequently, it has got me thinking about it again, and thought that as some of you are into this sort of thing, you might know a few good sites.

I'm lucky enough to live near here , but they do on line sales too. They have some lovely stuff.

Thanks Jamanda. I just had a look at the tools section on there and saw a pliers kit for 25 pounds - virtually identical to the one my OH found. I bought it in Homebase for 7 quid!

If anyone knows of any other suppliers, I'd be grateful for more links.
