I took some pics of me garden in April, and I took some today too. So here are the comparison pics

then..

and now ... a bit weedy!

planted out lettuces, spinach, marigolds and wild flowers

my dad (the boss gardener) strawberries, which take over everywhere, but yummy.

a courgette plant

flowered in the last 2 days!

my peppers - if nothing else grows, exept these I will still be a happy bunny (pesky snails eaten some - grr)

now indoors and covered with aphids, I now have ladybirds from Scotland (brought home to me by the bf) and lacewing larvae on them, hope it will help, its awful seeing my peppers wilt : (

spinach, perpetual spinach and marigolds

Been putting flowers throughout, like nasturtiums (sp), poppies, daisies and marigolds.

now - I don't have any idea what these are
I think they are a flower- but what? ://
lost the label oops

and now - very long!

And another question - What is this?
It was in the compost, so I'm thinking its a squash because we eat them often

Turns out there's more flowers than veg on my 'areas', luckily my dad has been out too, so there will be carrots and peas at least! And not just a million lettuces - oops : )

ooh i'd be very nervous about planting out corgette yet (unless i had a few in greenhouse ready to replace it if frost bit)

I know its blazing summer now - and we are have been living with warm arimasses invading the UK for most of April - but theres' often a bit of late frost mid to late may

perhaps you are a bit milder in south wales though

but stil don't get lured into a false sense of security - in may uk can suddenly shift to a few days of very cold weather without a lot of warning!

my potatoes are in full growth - but i'm looking round for the polythene sheet for when i might need it!

or maybe i'm a bit nervous cos my previous plot was a bit further north in Yorkshire and on higher ground

yeah i have some more in the green house, I'm not even that keen on courgette - so don't mind if I lose these hehe. But we'll see!

my lettuces look grumpy already now that I've moved them, I suppose it was too early in the morning oops.

lettuces never like moving at any time - i usually plant where they grow and just ocasionally replant thinnings. They will always be more likely to bolt than those that have not been transplanted though! those degradable pots are also useful mark

Looks great. I wish I was as well organised. (Just off to plant out the red onion seedlings a friend in work gave me today).

Brilliant ! Everything looks in good colour and bursting to get on with growing. Maybe harden things off a wee bit before taking them out of a cosy warm place straight into the April soil, wind and evening chill. They'll appreciate that.
