Good idea for the shotgun crowd.
Different tools for different quarry.
Pigeons , crows, rabbits and hares = Shotguns
Rabbit, Pigeons (still) = Air Rifle non-fac
Rabbit, Pigeons (still), hareish = Air Rifle FAC
Rabbit, crow, hare = Rimfire
Deer = Centerfire
I personally find the idea of shotguns on rabibits and hare diificult. Aiming at a moving target, and hoping to get a clean kill.
Also difficult in alot of situations to get close enough to use a shotgun on them. Also after the first shot, they ALL run!
Air rifles are an ideal and to start with cheap way into shooting.
Targets are free.
Practice until you are happy and comfortable to take on live quarry.
I'm sure no-one want to make an animal suffer, so precision is necessary.
2 years ago I visited Pricey's, with a few other DS's.
I had been practicing on targets for a bit and was comfortable with my abilities.
I still learnt alot.
It was a trip worth making.
