Hello,
I'm after having a go at dyeing some plain yarn for knitting but I havn't a clue how to start.

I am thinking that I would like to use natural dye stuffs, for example today I am making aup a couple of batches of red onion marmalade for next years Christmas pressies and will have a mountain of onion skins left over... will they dye wool? I'm guessing that they will dye it yellowish but how do I set the dye?

I have an aga so I'm planning on starting the dye pot off on the simmering plate and then putting it in the simmering oven.

Has anyone had a go with this?

all suggestrions and dvice greatfully recieved,
and Happy Chrsitmas and New Year to you all!

Tiny:-)
