As big lumps, the flavour is slight; cut into something that complements the flavour they add a strong aroma and a pleasant flavour. Cutting them up into little bits in a risotto is, I think, the way forward. Or the French route of using garlic butter, if that's your taste. Don't like that myself, though.
Santa, for purging, I'd say that rocket isn't likely to work. Lettuce is a purgative, chicory would probably work, failing that you might get dandelion to do the trick, if they'll eat it (they can sometimes be devilishly fussy!). |
