hi

i've been offered a great, free greenhouse tonight

it's a beast of a thing. Looks like it's from the future!!!

It's double glazed - and not twin wall poly, there is a nice solid frame and has 2 sets of glass with an inch or slightly more gap between the 2.

it's about 5' at the eaves and 7-8 at the ridges

it's one of those ones with curved panels from the roof coming down the sides

it didn't have a manufacturers badge on it and i'm just wondering how these things come apart!!

anyone think they know what it is?

No idea, but it'll be brilliant for Scotland !

One day, I will crack and get a greenhouse. Still tempted to rig up a polythene and 2x4 lean-to again.

You should, you know, you really should.
I've only had one for two growing seasons - now I can't imagine how I managed without one for so long.

OH has just helped our neighbour to construct one out of a pallet full of ex-council house 4 foot square double glazed units. It looks very stable, the weight of the glass is a great advantage of course It's made us realise that growing under glass is a possibility here after all. We knew an Alton wasn't going to last two minutes in the wind but a leviathan such as they've just built might just do it
I'm guessing your double-glazed house is a one-off

With my cunning powers of deductions, I'd say its a doubled glazed greenhouse.

Just for the night or a longer term proposal?

Let us know where it is and we'll take it off your hands before you've got your hands on it.

Edit: Albeit a week late.
