Wow worked at the other end today and clipped the ivy which was trailing on the ground. Only 3 more to go now. There is a metal fence directly behind the wall. It belongs to the field on the other side, ie a few horses pop their heads over.so I was wondering if sweet peas would be suitable right at the back of our wall? ie they would grow up the fence...any suggestions/thoughts? Will post some pics at the end of the week.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nearly finished the last bit! Couldn't do much today cos it was raining even though I had some shelter under the sycamore tree! Spent the best part of the morning reading through my mound of gardening books!!! Hopefully will get it finished tomorrow and will be able to post some pics.

has anybody mentioned a clematis.they have osme that flower at all times of the year and if you can put the roots in the cool, it might just creep across and down ..
and i see in my thompson and morgan catalogue that there is a honeysuckle that flowers in the winter which would be nice as honeysuckle grows nearly anywhere................that might go across and down as well
you're doing a great job denise....when you are finished, i have plenty of gardening for you here that i can't get time to get to....
Thanks Nanny....................gosh I have loved evry minute of it all! Would love to come down and help you out..........................BUT....there are the next few projects to tackle..........1 by 1!
