Ingredients


  • 10oz plain flour

  • 3 level tspn baking powder

  • 4oz caster sugar

  • 6oz dates, chopped

  • 1 medium egg

  • 7 fl oz milk

  • 6 tbsp sunflower oil

  • zest & juice of 1 orange




Recipe


  1. Sift flour & baking powder.

  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix.

  3. Spoon into paper cases and bake for 15-18 minutes till risen & firm

  4. Gas mark 6

  5. 200�C / 180�C fan
