I have just read about this place - https://www.hafodyllan.org.uk/ - which is "the National Trust's tenanted farm in Snowdonia", and is using a mix of washed wool to line and insulate "eco-friendly" boxes for its mail order mixed lamb packs, rather than polystyrene. Apparently it also provides a list of hints on how to reuse the wool with each box.
I knew that wool was meant to be a good insulator but never heard of it being used like this before.
Great idea! I wouldn't choose for my lamb to be butchered quite like that, though. Minted? Boned out shoulders? I'd rather do that myself, thanks. Still, the wool is an excellent idea!

If you buy half a lamb, most places will butcher to your request - especially if it means not doing things, instead of doing them!
Now what am I going plant my potted veg garden in then!? great idea though.
