What I was trying to find out was could I delete myself from the membership list and just slink quietly away through the gap in the downsizer hedge .It seems easy to sign up to forums but not to escape if you think you maybe should reduce the things you belong to.Just not visiting seems a bit wooly.Im not stomping off in a huff slamming the catflap behind me its just wanting to reduce the temptation to lurk on the internet when I should be making rag mats.

There is a thread about blocking a website. You could do that.

Talking of notifications, my inbound email seems to be borked, so later on I'll probably get a barrow load of notifications

It'd be nice to have a way of turning them all off. Save that from happening.

You can turn them all off in your profile. I haven't had an email from downsizer ever.

Best of both worlds: - turn off notifications generally but, if you particularly want to know when a specific topic is updated, you can tick the 'notify me when a reply is posted' box under the reply writing box.
That way you get emails about that topic, but not about the rest.

(Hopefully, one of the mods or other techie people will be along later to correct this if I'm wrong).
