Nick has had a really successful first season growing & selling his organic veg. He has established a small veg box scheme and attends the local farmers market. The next one is tommorow and this time he has a selection of chutneys that he has made from his produce as well as veg.
We're having great difficulty pricing the chutney! We dont want to price it too low, its Ludlow food fayre this weekend and there will be lots of discerning foodies about, but we dont want it to be too expensive either.
Anyone got any idea for a 1lb jar of homemade chutney?
Its me asking cos I'll be running the stall on his behalf tommorow!
Thanks

I would agree with Rob and say it depends on your ingredients and money outlay for likes of jam jars and labelling. Then you could take into account your time making it and cost of electricity/gas to produce.
I make a range of jams, jellies and pickles and charge 2.50 a jar for some products, but as little as 1.40 for others. I am selling to friends, family and work colleagues of ours.
