Hi
For those who don't already know about it, I subscribe to Permaculture magazine and there is an article on a charity that reconditions tools and sends some to Africa and sells some here.

It looks like a great project. Its called Tools for Self-Reliance website www.tfsr.org.uk. I like the look of their shop in Wales so I am planning a trip there later this year.

Prices look very reasonable. You can't beat a decent hand tool!

They usually have a stand at the Smallholders Show at Builth. Have bought a few things from them before, and the stand acts as a good creche for menfolk if they're not interested in stuff you want to look at.
