I have a PicoScope from PicoTech. Very good value for money. I've also got one of these.

I think there are a couple of guys on the AECB forum that have messed with similar for data logging

The PicoScope 2205 has been recommended to me - it has AWG too which would be pretty darn handy at the moment. inspects contents of piggy bank A. Edit - oops, wrong link - fixed.

If you want a cheap datalogger for �25 try https://www.rev-ed.co.uk/picaxe/ Some great electronic projects there. PM me if you want to know more, I have built a number of their devices. PICAXE chips are amazing, easy to use microcontrollers. Mike

I've got a use for that kind of stuff at the moment but what I want to know is how could I connect one of those to the mains. I want to see the noise, signal and attenuation in a data signal carried over mains and I have a strong suspicion that with switch mode power supplies all over the place these days I'll see phenomenal noise levels. (and just as a personal project I'd also like to play with one just to try some wave form analysis on music)

The PDS7102T was also recommended to me. Beyond what I need, but perhaps better suited to high voltage analysis. A.
