Am I being really blonde? I;m using IE but the results list - which includes the property I'm after - doesn't show anything to click in order to get the download.

No, no orange numbers, honest, look: oh, you can't see from there. But really, there are no such numbers. I did have a problem last week with another site I wanted to make a booking on, I think I might have changed some settings on my browser

Twasn't on that one either Rory, I think they mostly only go back 5 years and it might be longer than that
Turns out it is indeed all my fault, Tahir, luckily, can read, and spotted this on my results page:
"If you require information about addresses found that do not have a "Title number" you can post a request to us for a manual search, called a Search of the Index Map. "
Try www.nethouseprices.co.uk. Will tell you date of completion and how much it was sold for (a nosey parker's dream!!)

land registry will only have a record of it if it has changed hands in the last 20 years at most (I think it might be less than that)
Local knowledge (libraries are a good place to start) or (gulp) a solicitor, but are sods and will probably charge you - I'll ask one of my pet ones, if I can find them under their piles of money!
