Estate agent value approx 320,000 if lucky - see our house is only partly renovated!!!!! It needs new electrics, plaster on almost all the walls, concrete as a floor no wood or carpets!!!!!, literally no kitchen just a plank of wood balanced on washing machine and tumble dryer and a sink and a cooker!!!, literally no bathroom just a sink which is broken in half and held together by some white bonding gunk and a toilet that leaks and a bath with no end or side panels. Liverable just but then maybe I am tolerant! We have plans drawn up but to see past the building site of a house needs imagination.

So yep we done well.

100,000 cash in the bank now. Wow at 29 years of age how many people can say that.

We are so over the moon as Steven earns 5,500 a month after tax so what we can do now is cash accumulate.

How much a month

Whoever you are, I really don't see why it should hurt you if her other half is earning that kind of money.

It's surprising what sort of money people in all walks of life get, earn it while you can, especially if you save a large part.

Excellent news - very pleased for you

I think it's great to be open about money as well - people always give me funny looks when I am - but just think how much more equal life might be for all or how many great ideas we could share if people were open about how they handle their money (or their debt).

Steve is an Airline Captain and is underpaid imo for the responsibility he has. ( Hope you don't mind me revealing that Caroline?) Well done on the sale I bet the adrenaline was flowing?

Congratulations. If you buy that place in Nova Scotia we'll all be able to come and stay at the same time.

You've done well. It looks like we're entering a period where the housing market is beginning to get sticky. I might be selling my place soon and I may have to take a bath on the price, but that's the nature of it, property isn't a short-term investment.

Get over it 'guest' and be happy for the people who work hard and are able to get a decent return. This is quite a rare thing.

Portwayfarm CONGRATULATIONS onwards and upwards (literally)!

I apologise to the person I mentioned in my last post (name now edited out by management) if I offended you. I hope you accept my apology.

Congratulations!! That's great news. Hope you'll be very happy in whatever you decide to do next.

Will definitely consider the auction route once our contract is up with the estate agent.Sounds like fun!
