Most of them have a little switch on the front.

You might find one of the button on the keyboard marked with a little radio mast icon. If it's there it's more than likely WiFi enabled.

Just because there's a switch, doesn't mean it does anything! I've got a Bluetooth switch on the front of my laptop, but there's no hardware for it inside, even though it was advertised as having Bluetooth .

Is it a Sony Viao by any chance, I was given one last week and the Bluetooth is the only thing that's beaten me so far!

Doesn't matter, you can buy a USB WIFI adapter here for 20 Euros so probably cheaper in the UK to get you underway if the button don't play.

No, it's an Acer. The Bluetooth hardware is a factory option, but the people I bought it from were selling the non Bluetooth version, but advertising it with Bluetooth. They offered me my money back, but I made them give me a USB Bluetooth adaptor instead, as I liked the rest of the computer.
