I think these are the same as the Owls which some people have bought. I have got a free one from NPower. I applied via their website. (I use the Juice tariff which is allegedly matched by supply from sustainable sources, mainly the North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm. Not totally convinced by this, but it's the nearest we can get to using sustainable electricity)

I am not a new customer, so if you use Npower, but aren't registered with their online bit it might be worth you doing so to get one of these gadgets.

Whether it works or not yet remains to be seen.

No amount of freebies would tempt me to use NPower the AOL of the electricity market.

I heard an advert last night saying eon were doing the same, no easy to see on their website though. We use Good Energy for out lectrickery. Last edited by Fee on Fri Jun 11, 10 8:37 am; edited 1 time in total

Suffolk County libraries have the monitors for free loan at the moment, I borrowed one about six weeks ago and am still remembering to turn pratically everything off!

I bought one of the plug in ones to get an idea of what different things were using, apart from lights- you can get quite obsessive about it

Ha!!! Ditto! We called them N Rage!

Mind you a bad experience with E-On got them christened "F-Off"

SO far British Gas have managed to supply my electricity for a year without incurring a nick-name.... LOL!

I'm having a bit of touble finding out their prices- their price checker either does nothing or the result is very promising at �0.00 per year

They continued with the same direct debit amount as Gritish Bas (�30/mth) but I havn't had a proper bill yet. I paid BG �14 when I finished with them, but that was for what I'd used over the winter . . . . I'll see when it comes to the next one!!!

Get gas and electricity from Npower, have done for years. Never had a problem. But I wasn't suggesting it was worth changing, just worth getting the thing if you were already with them.

I swore never to sign up with NPower when one of their reps turned up at my doorstep and told me several falsehoods in an attempt to get me to sign up there and then. No response to my letter of complaint, either, and from what I've heard since from other people said rep was employing official company policy.

I bought an Electrisave some years ago but it stopped working shortly after I moved into my flat 3 years ago. And yes, I have replaced the batteries. Can't honestly say it made much difference to my electricity consumption even when it was working - a bit of a "so what" really.

Their prices match that of the main supplier in your area. We have used their elec for some years. Their service has been excellent. They now do green gas as well which they will try to source from landfill sites, waste digesters, etc. We have taken this and, again, no problems. I think the price is linked to that of British Gas but check the website. There is a dual fuel discount.

Ah, the main supplier in our area is Npower, and they worked out more expensive than GE so that's OK.
