Any one got any or about t ohave any for sale? I have a friend who would like 3. I have two (or, hoepefully, 3) coming in November for me, but I don't know of any more available just now. So, if you're in the Shropshire/ Cheshire/ mid-Wales type area with any you'd like to sell.... I will be in the market for a gilt in November, if I can only get 2 from my other supplier, although I wouldn't mind if that one was another breed.
I have some (6) black Tamworths (crossed with a Large Black) due to be weaned in about four weeks time, if anyone was interested in rearing a couple.

Rob: I've forgotten: where are you? I'll ask my mate if she's interested, but I won't be ready to take any until end of November, when the other two arrive. Otherwise, I'd love one. What do you reckon the meat will be like?
As for the meat, if they are anything like the pure Large Black it will be the best pork ever. I would think it will be a bit quicker to grow than pure Tamworth, with the LB influence, and perhaps more 'dual purpose', but equally good pork too. Time will tell

Thanks Rob: pity you're so far away.
I bet they'll be great: they sound like a potential new 'rare breed'! I had some bacon made from Tamworth/Wild Boar cross last week, from Sillfield. Best bacon I've ever tasted.
