I live in Grimsby and am not having much luck finding any hens. I can't drive which is a bit of a problem though I can cycle further than most people'd assume. Can anyone help?

Naomi runs the Lincolnshire Smallholders' Association. She sometimes has chickens for sale. If she can't help you herself, she may well know someone who can.

Hi 2steps, are you after any particular breed? If you are not, perhaps the Battery Welfare Trust could help you, I know they have a regional rep, but not sure exactly how far he is away from you.

Try here for further information:

Good look with getting your chooks!

I'm not too fussy about breed. I'd like them to lay well and I'd like a few different type sif I can.

I'll try them, thank you

Hi 2steps - just thought, why not have a look at the Practical Poultry magazine forum at www.practicalpoultry.co.uk - as a relative newby to poultry keeping I find this a useful reference point.

Why not register with them and post to see if there is anyone more local to yourself who may be able to help.
