I've got quite a few books, especially to do with keeping chickens, wild food and growing fruit and veg. However, I quite like looking at new ones and some are not much more that the price of a couple of magazines. So I've decided my OH can get me a few more for Christmas. Does anyone have any favourite books that are either very good or a good read (or both?)

I'm especially interested in Poultry & Bees at the moment but I'm happy to read most things.

One of my favourite Chicken books is an American production. It has great photo's of Chickens and gives basic advise on most subjects, breeding, housing, breeds, etc.

"Living with Chickens - everything you need to know to raise your own backyard flock" by Jay Rossier, photo's by Geoff Hansen.
ISBN 1-58574-452-2

If you get it/browse it let me know what you think?

Hen and the Art of Chicken Maintenance by Martin Gurdon is a lovely gentle read, the care this guy takes of his 'girls' is heart warming but comic too.
