I've just been experimenting with doing these tree pendants...the first one is citrine and peridot chips, and the second one is a family tree pendant...each crystal is the birthstone of my family.

The second one needs a bit of work, but \ think the idea is lovely and will be making them for my sister and my sister in law!!If anyone else fancies them give me a shout..they are sterling silver or rolled gold with swarovski crystals for the family pendants...just need everyone's name and birth month..and which are the parents!

Edit: any comments or suggestions welcome!!

nice, stick a spike through the bottom one annular brooch style and it would look lovely as a scarf pin

I thought you meant pendants to hang on trees...

they would make lovely first christmas tree decorations for a new baby wouldn't they. My family has a tradition of buying a child a new decoration every year, then when you leave home you get presented with 'your' decorations to start your own collection of decorations with

That would work really well.

There's a woman in Shropshire who makes them to go on outdoor trees: about 1' high and lovely.

I misread the thread name as tree pedants, and was expecting star vs. fairy discussions

They're lovely - like the first one especially.

Tell me more.... (do you know her name?)

They are lovely pendants by the way - I would second the idea of making them into pins/brooches too

I LOVE them Meg!
Don't suppose you ever come across tiny apple beads do you? I'd love the green pendant with just one tiny apple in it. This really is serendipitous, those coincidences just keep happening.

They are really pretty. I'm not a jewelry person at all, but I do like those. Especially the idea of lots of birthstones. Now who can I get to buy one for me.......
