- 5cm piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 3 tsp mild curry powder
- 500ml vegetable stock
- 220g red lentils
- 1tbs sultanas
- 100g fresh white breadcrumbs

- Add the stock, lentils, sultanas, bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes until the stock has been absorbed by the lentils.
- Remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
- Add the breadcrumbs and mix in well. Use lightly floured hands to shape mixture into about 12 individual burgers.

SERVING SUGGESTION
Put a burger in a round sesame seed bun with a slice of cheese, fresh rocket, tomato, cucumber, mayonnaise and kecap manis. Serve with potato wedges.
HINT
When freezing, put a layer of cling film or grease-proof paper between burgers so they can be easily separated later. |
