What would you like to learn to make next year? If you think of something and list it here, there may be someone here who could offer guidance/instructions.

Well I can't miss an opportunity to pester Alison She knows the one !
But apart from that, its less learning to make, as learning to find, foraging in various shapes and forms is what I want to learn.
I try to take up something new every year. This year I started some charcuterie/meat preserving, and I've managed a little of that (biltong, chorizo, bacon, other bits and bobs). Next year, I might go for making a lot more chocolates than I have before (taking chocolate making up as a real hobby), or I'm thinking about making epoxy or acrylic paperweights and the like. Haven't decided yet.
Well, I'm sloooooooowly learning to knit so hope I'll keep it up. Can't decide whether to do mittens or a hat...I may steal Wellington Womble's suggestion for sisal wash mitts for presents.
And have bought books on soap making (looking forward to Cab's mate's article ); dairying (Treacodactyl successfully made me ricotta from the River Cottage Year book); and a simple basket weaving book. Anyone fancy doing something on the last two?
Don't think there'll be any new animals next year, as TD says, until we move it'd be crazy, but I'd like to go on one of the winter courses or perhaps a day course so I could see if I need hospitalising after a sting .
And hopefully we'll have time to take up shooting again - there's plenty of learning there in itself! I found it very confusing when we first started going to the rifle club and am still uncertain about some of the terminology...perhaps DS, D Brundle or some other experts could help with a beginner's guide to getting started safely...especially as it's a rather misunderstood subject.
