Some of you may have seen the deer control thread, JB's comments got me thinking about shooting for the pot, it's the ideal solution.
So where would I start, never even touched a gun and I have very little time on my hands (still working 6 days a week), is it something I should embark on or not?
And how do you find the buggerdy beasts once you've learnt to shoot?
If time's a problem, I'd find someone you can trust who can shoot them for you.
Failing that, try the British Deer Society, who can talk you through the whole process from absolute beginner to fully-fledged stalker.
by the time youve got the hang of shooting em, they will have eaten everything !
Nah, it looks like I could get adequate protection from 1.2m treeguards, I was going to be using guards for rabbit protection anyway so it'll be a slight increase in cost. This'll mean that we'll still have deer, and maybe free meat...
