Such humour!
You get less chances of getting within range with a 12 bore, and when you do, a lot of shot ends up in the ground. If you get your rabbit it will be riddled with shot.

I use a .22 magnum rimfire for rabbits. I now use full metal jacket rounds instead of hollow points because the damage is terrible.
