re shortening the skirt from the top, it would be a lot easier to take out a section from the middle, that way you wouldn't have to alter any waistband and zip.....but a photo of said skirt may help?

Can anyone help with a cravat pattern please? Does it need to be cut on the bias, how long are they usually and do they go narrow in the middle section. Measurements would be really useful, thanks
