not realy,he works for the firm i baught the postage from and is bound by their terms of employment ,ie to provide the service he is paid to provide.

i was at weymouth pier last night and there were thousands of them! i only had a handline so didnt do so well but the guys with the rods did very well some bagging 30 or more in the hour of high tide.

the lighter stuff is the sapwood,and yes its the stuff of longbow fame,ive got a 6" x 7' yew stave air drying at the moment hopefully next year it will become a 'self' ...

just made this one from a splendid bit of local yew,the knot/eye in it is oso nice,sadly its off to germany tomorrow to its new home,i know its gonna be well loved!
