Good advice above.
Start by getting rid of the rough curly edge with a very coarse sharpening stone. That blade really is in quite a mess.

Legumes are lazy, and will only fix as much N as the soil needs. So I'd save the chicken shit for another time, and let the legumes work for their keep.

We had several hours of snow and hail today. Glad my apple trees are nowhere near blooming.

It's the wild fruits in blossom at the moment : the sloes and the geans I'll be worrying about.
