thanks for the replys, had thought that it being so old and the woodburner re-burning the smoke (so the blurb says)it would negate the preservitive left in the wood, but will take your advice.

was wondering if u could advise, i have an old 'deck' built from 4x4 posts and old floorboards about 3x4m its being replaced by a properly built deck but im looking at all that wood and wonderin ... |

| just a thought, would some of the smaller logs be worth putting aside to seed with mushrooms? their are mushrooms grow at the base already but the non edible kind unfortunately |

looking to see if anybody is interested in the wood, trunk is about 5ft hight before it splits and aprox 6' circumference.
not been cut yet  so can be sized to suit what buyer wants

castle farm keeps them, just had 3 hatch under a broodie so fingers crossed for a pair, some eggs also available on ebay
castle uses them to cross with indian game to get his welsh blacks, great bird ... |
