Think I've solved my probelm! I need to use glass rope lagging which has a central core and is far more robust. Found a supplier in the south of England  |

| We are having some new internal doors fitted- pine. Is it better to oil them than use a water based varnish. I'm not very neat at painting. Will the wood darken more after oiling than varnishing? |

We don't seem to have that problem, but our water pressure is high so I'm guessing that prevents it.

| We made marshmallow last week. It was really soft to start with but after keeping it a few days it developed a nice crust on the outside. It was a huge hit with the children. |
