It sounds beautiful. Just wonder if the space-dyed colours might be visible in some way if knitted - it might be very subtle but that could be lovely.

Especially nice if you cook the gammon in cider/apple juice and water - the resulting stock makes fantastic soup with lentils or split peas.

Love lentil soup, and this looks delicious. Can I suggest a squeeze of fresh lemon juice stirred into each bowl on serving? Its my favourite fix!

Nell, can I ask you what sort of tin you use - I used an 8" deep cake tin but wonder if I used a wide shallow 'traybake' sort of tin it would work better? By the way, many thanks for posting this rec ...

I tried this cake yesterday - delicious flavour, but it came out a bit dry I am wondering whether I did something wrong?
I put in half the oil to begin with, but then didn't add the other half ...
