I have been a bit disappointed in the lack of response to the web ring suggestion so far

https://forum.downsizer.net/about1345.html

as I think a lot of people have sites that they would want to promote. But I rather expect it is my failure to get the message across well enough? So any pointers as to what I am doing wrong would help.

RobR is definitely up for it, he's waiting for approval to sell his wool at which point he'll update his website and add the necessary. He's interested in mambo but would need a hand, but we'll see what happens.

I should imagine that most people on here's websites are fairly relevant and only a few people wouldn't want more visitors to their site (us for example, because ours is just a home page and if anything, we wouldn't want more people to visit).

I should think it's largly a question of people not having seen it on this section - if you only have a limited time to drop by you'll probably stick to the relevant sections. I don't see any harm in contacting individuals who have appropriate websites listed on their profile if you fancied that.

It means trawling through everybody's profiles manually. I think we just need to get a couple of sites signed up ASAP so we can make sure it's working well and then I'll launch myself at it.

didn't see original topic - sorry, but would be interested if you think our website fits in .

PS did we get a small downsizer logo sorted out so that I can put a link on our site - I need to update our links page and a logo would stand out much better than just typing it!

Not yet Julie. But we really must, especially with this web ring now.

I think your site would be find for the ring. It does need a mix

Please try and set an entry up, and then scream as you find the instructions impossible to follow

Maybe the subject heading is the problem.
I didn't originally read the thread because it sounded techy and not relevant.
Maybe a different header would grab more peoples attention?

Probably something like "get 10,000 vistors to your web site" all in captials of course
