I have been in posesion of a pair of antlers that a friend from Wisconsin couldnt take back with him for the past fiew months.
I thought it was a shame for them to just sit on a shelf so i got it in my head to mount them so that they can go on the wall.

They are seperate, no skull attatched, sawn off very neatly from a rotting carcass he found while he was working in scotland.

To get to the point; how would I go about mountig them? would a bit of glue do to fix them to a plack?

J

(ps, MODS, feel free to move this to the apropreate section, i just thought as it had to do more with hunting than darning socks...lol)

You might find glue won't hold it, often they are screwed to the wooden plate from the back of the wood into the antler.

You could always make tool handles or knife handles with them as an alternative.

Drill a narrow pilot hole first and it will be easer to get the screw to bite

Keep them as they are. We screwed our to a wooden plaque, fixed it to the wall and use it to hang keys, gloves, scarves and orrible kids on.
