Yes, the Yule Cat apparently eats children/people who haven't got a new item of clothing by Yule, preferably made from the year's wool clip. Perhaps those Downsizers who are giving friends and family handknitted socks, hats and gloves/mittens for Xmas should explain that these items confer additional benefits....

I think I shall have to tell the Sherbling about them she was asking me yesterday if Santa brought nasty presents to naughty children as well as nice presents to good children
