The 7th is fine for Bugs and I. (Just don't look at Bugs' new avatar).

Only just noticed this thread If you still need another "gun" I would be pleased to help.
Will get BASC or AN other air rifle insurance if needed.
Do you have terriers and smokers ?
Dave

Unfortunately my air rifle and I can't make that weekend

If you do a second run though I am definitely up for it.

I can't make weekend of 7th Jan either. The following one would be OK if it gets stretched out that long. Sorry, though sounds as if you'll have enough guns anyway.

Count me in.

Hope you got my pm with tel number......

I suggest that the rabbits stand in front of a barn door, if my first go with my new rifle was anything to go by.

6:08am - Load gun while watching rabbits disappear.
7:00am - Head back to camp...
9:00am - Still looking for camp...
10:00am Realise that you don't know where camp is...
NOON - Fire rifle for help - eat wild berries.
12:15pm - Ran out of pellets - eight rabbits come back.
12:20pm - Strange feeling in stomach.
12:30pm - Realize you ate poison berries.
12:45pm - RESCUED!!
12:55pm - Rushed to hospital to have stomach pumped.
3:00pm - Arrive back at camp.
3:30pm - Leave camp to kill rabbits.
4:00pm - Return to camp for pellets.
4:01pm - Load gun - leave camp again.
5:00pm - Empty gun on squirrel that's bugging you.
5:01pm - Watch squirrel run away.
6:00pm - Arrive back at camp, see rabbits grazing.
6:01pm - Load gun.
6:02pm - Fire gun - hit Landy.
6:05pm - Hunting partner returns to camp carrying 8 rabbits.
6:06pm - Repress strong urge to shoot hunting partner.
6:07pm - Fall in fire.
6:10pm - Change clothes - throw burned ones into fire.
6:15pm - Take Landy, leave partner and his rabbits in the woods.
6:25pm - Landy runs out of fuel - hole shot in petrol tank.
6:26pm - Start walking.
6:30pm -Stumble and fall, drop gun in the mud.
6:35pm - Meet rabbit...
6:36pm - Take aim...
6:37pm - Fire gun, blow up barrel plugged with mud.
6:38pm - Rabbit runs away laughing.
6:39pm - Climb tree - bear walks by.
9:00pm - Bear departs, fall out of tree.
MIDNIGHT - HOME AT LAST!
Sunday - Watch football on TV, slowly tearing BASC membership into little pieces, place envelope and mail to hunting partner with very precise instructions as to what he can do with it!

Anybody heading to the killing fields from the East Mids interested in a lift share? I don't fancy 5+ hours on the train / bus!

I will be driving from NE London / SW Essex, (not far from Romford) If anyone would like a lift, I intend to go anti-clockwise round the M25, and could stop off on the way.

We use lurchers far quicker and more effective than air rifles......

Merab took over 60 of these in one night single handed and all retreived live back to hand - this haul was over 3 nights 300 + bunnies, frozen to feed the wildcats during the winter

no waste here.

I suppose from the piccie they look free, unfortunatley they arent, they are captive bred, traceable lines back to the 50's, our kittens go to release programmes or other captive breeding projects....but yes they love the rabbits and the occasional goose - but gratitude from wildcats just doesnt exist lol , still they are beautiful and we look forward to this years kittens.
