I was told off a couple of weeks ago for buying Smarties cookies (we don't buy Nestle) so had a go at making M&Ms ones. Not an unqualified success, but very passable - here. Now, has anyone here ever seen non-Nestle condensed or evaporated milk to allow me to disassociate from them completely?

That's interesting, never thought about that. I think there used to be two brands widely available but I remember that one set of tins changed image over a while from x-brand to x-brand from Nestle to just Nestle. No such thing in the Suma catalogue either, and they do sell milk products (UHT and dried for example).

I wonder...can you do your own? Too much fuel/wrong equipment I suppose.

Not sure if these two companies actually produce it or just source it for the food industry - might be worth contacting them though

Yes: carnation is nestle.
Bah.
Not sure about own-brands either (thought TBH if it doesn't say nestle on the tin I'll probably go LA LA LA and not think about it!)
