Thanks for the welcome everyone.
lettucewoman I also lived in Hagley or at least my parents did . if you want to know where and when then pm me. Hagley breathed a sigh of relief when I left.
The 40 acres is mostly grazing/hay. There is about 2 acres of coppice.
The interest in faggots is because I have been cutting down some trees that have grown where they are not wanted (e.g a sycamore 2' from the back of wooden stables) and I am left with loads of brash and was wondering rather than just threw it on the bonfire whether it could be put to some commercial use and earn a few coppers.
As to the puzzles Gawber do you really want sleepless nights? Some people have been known to demolish whole walls by banging their heads against them .
