I want to buy a 50 year old bottle of port, for my BIL birthday. I don't drink it myself, so was wondering, was it a good year? how do I find out? where would I get it from? either that or maybe 2 x bottles of 25 year old This all depends on price too.

It was a brilliant year for Bordeaux. You'd need something from the very top end though.

Just spent all my lunch break drooling over some of those bottles. Another bookmark for when my lottery numbers come up.

I have a 50th wedding anniversary celebration to go to in April, I was thinking one of those sets may be the ideal gift.

Hm. Maybe ignore that. I have a bottle of 1927 port. If it's that good, it might need opening...
