Although we had frost, it doesn't seem to have done much damage. Some of the quince blossom just caught it, but not to much, and the apple blossom seems all right. The dry weather has been a bit problematical, but I have been watering the root vegetable seeds, and although they are being slow, they are coming up. Most of the crops round here are winter sown, so they came up well, the oil seed rape is in flower, and the cereals seem to be growing, although probably rather slowly. The grass seems all right and the cattle are out in the fields again. |
