1 yesterday and another one today.

Never had duck eggs before. Looks like the ducks got a stay of execution, especially as the hens aren't laying at present.

Part of my reasoning behind getting ducks - they lay right through for me, filling in when the hens don't feel like it. Excellent for cakes too, and nice and big.

I always use the duck eggs for baking, apart from when the geese lay and then I use those. You cannot beat a victoria sponge made with a goose egg, it is soooooo yellow.

Love duck eggs here. My girls are having a winter break at the moment: can't wait for them to start up again. Khaki Campbells are reputedly the best layers, although I find Indian Runners do well and I've got a couple of mixed girls who are good too.

3 for 3, every day now. They are laying double yokers already.

Ducks are the future. Chickens are out.

Guess what we are having for Sunday dins?
