I have a 5 week old mower (very nice) with a briggs and stratton 500 series engine (not so nice). the problem is when its run for about 10 mins and you stop it to empty the grass bag the darn thing won't start again a long shot but has anyone got any ideas what it could be? think i'm going to have to send it back but if i can avoid the problem with the replacement all to the good.
Thanks in advance

Air filter is fine I even cleaned and re-oiled it, the choke hasn't been a problem and occasionally pumping the primer was the only way to get it started. It seems to be a sparking problem but again, its only a few weeks old, I have checked and cleaned the contacts on the "dead mans handle" the only other thing I can think of is the condenser failing, it's that kind of problem, but after 5 weeks?? even B&S should do better than that!

Take it back to the shop/dealer. Not fit for purpose.

thats what I think I'll do. trouble is they will "exchange only" for the same machine so I'll need to try and prevent the same problem.

Take it back. Don't fiddle and void the warranty.
