These days with all the different tarrifs you can easily be on a very bad gas/electric deal, and listening to any doorstep salesman is a dumb move

https://www.uswitch.com/

Can find out the best deal for you, including green tarriffs.

Pretty quick to do and can make quite a lot of difference.

I was in Ellis Brigham at the weekend, and they had an offer with eco tricity (join ecotricty and get 15 quid off in ellis brigham!) Ecotricity said that your bills would not change, they would match your supplier, so the sensible thing to do must be to change to cheapest supplier, and then get ecotricity to amthc it (and 15 quid off at ellish brigham!)

Don't change to powergen. They won't let you out - keep sending bills even after you leave, and then threaten to send in bailiffs cos you haven't paid, depsite the fact that someone else has been supplying you rlectric for the last 6 months!

jema, we have recently gone from npower to powergen as well.

Ages ago I changed to Eastern electric, and they didn't do the final switch, so my electric kept coming from the previous supplier. When I eventually noticed, and contacted them I was given the difference the electricity would have cost back and compensation.

If you change telephone supplier you could also save a few quid.

I was with BT but moved and am getting the same sevice (as I have a BT line) but my calls are costing about 50% less.

It really does pay to shop around.

I use one of the prefix services for long distance, not one of the ones that advertise a lot afaik. you just dial 1615 first and the calls are a lot cheaper.

I used to network market these type of phone calls. I was doing really well until someone defrauded the company and they folded.

I think the talk talk package looks good in carphone warehouse, but I haven't changed over yet.
