Is a flame throwing panda environmentally acceptable? Also has the panda risk assessed what he is doing?

Pandas are an evolutionary dead end. They refuse to breed, and only eat one specific, rare, not very nutritious grass. They are going to die out, regardless. So, we should use them however we can. Have him flame your land, then enjoy a celebratory feast, when the work is done.

Before searching ebay for a flame throwing panda, can anyone tell me: How do I deal with the immigration status? After all I don't want to be employing an illegal immigrant.

Yes there probably is, but it will be 900 pages long, and then have to be filled out in triplicate, faxed off to various departments, then returned to me for some minor spelling error... think I'll just smuggle him in and hope no one notices... But would his flame thrower be hold or hand luggage, oh this is turning out to be so complicated, I'm beginning to prefer the idea of a pig in a lifejacket...

pigs are probably a good option for rooting and eating the rhizomes ,from what i know of the slash/burn/dig/poison(ugh) attempts at removing the stuff it is very hard work and a long process.

Mini-digger / JCB for a day, level plot, pull out any stumps, push it into big pile to rot down or burn. Follow up with other methods allready suggested.

Ok guys, the flame throwing panda is a non starter I'm sorry to say. At the moment we are looking into fencing for the pig, a neighbour (yes we are currently still living on our boat but have a small (very small 30mts) rented cottage on another island) has fenced his pig in with old pallets. Does anyone have any pig fencing ideas, cheap is what we are after as it isn't going to be a permanent fence. Also now having seriously thought about getting a pig, we have started to look into what type of pig, (bearing in mind where we live the choice might be limited). Big snouted things are what we have come up with, any ideas please....

Virtual fences.
Fit the pigs with electronic collars that give an audio warning if the animal starts to move out of bounds, followed by an electric shock if they continue.
